TechnetFife and Creativefife merger close to completion

Hi All

The budget (small) has been approved and the Creativefife (with merged TechnetFife) action plan for the coming year is in place.

One of the things that we are doing is changing the look and feel of the Creativefife website to include things Technet and add social media options and advertisement opportunities.  If you have any suggestions on what you would want to see happen on the site then please feel free to pass on those suggestions by e-mailing me at .  All suggestions will be considered but not all will be or can be taken up.

The new look website will include a focus on the merging TechnetFife network with TechnetFife members being asked if they are willing to be part of the new improved initiative.

Creativefife was set up to help improve the economic development of Fife’s creative industry sector and it is not our intention to change.  This year we will be focusing in the main on Digital Media where we will be running a series of events such as the utilisation of digital media for the promotion of your business.  One of the recognised major growth potential sectors is the digital media sector so we will be encouraging start up and business growth in this sector.

With our partners we will host events on the new technologies available to help with business marketing, in the autumn a major conference is planned with guest speakers invited from Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Microsoft and Apple and our ever popular Creativefife Award Ceremony is planned to take place in the spring of 2011.

All in all an exciting and informative year ahead for the new Creativefife community and one that I hope brings you prosperity.
